Remediation
BAM Structures specialise in large temporary structures for the remediation industry. Our team has extensive experience in the field of temporary structures, and their use on contaminated sites.
Based on our experience in erecting tents for emission control over contaminates sites or soil treatment we understand your needs and can provide a fully managed flexible service including all aspects of health and safety, risk assessment, method statements, council permits and structure management planning.
Our temporary structures can provide environmental solutions for,
- Odour & Emission Control - tailor made extraction & filtration solutions.
- Visual Barriers for sensitive sites.
- Noise Reduction & Control in residential areas.
- Climatic Control - creating a covered insulated environment.
- Security - providing a manageable perimeter.
In 2007 this project in North East England used a 50 x 125 metre structure to control odour and provide a stable manageable environment in which to operate. This tent remained on site for almost a year during which we experienced severe flooding, gale force winds and snow. The structure remained stable throughout and enabled the work to continue unimpeded. The remediation project was successfully completed on schedule.
The tent build was carried out on a working site and tailored to suit the client. We erected the tent in stages to enable the earthworks contractor to continue work. Material was cleared from the start area where we assembled one quarter of the structure, once that section of frame had been erected, the material was moved under the completed section clearing the next area. This process continued until the entire frame had been erected.
Once the frame work is completed, the roofs, walls and doors are fitted. This process does not interfere with activities within the structure, which in this case continued throughout.
